Nestled in the heart of Fiji’s most stunning archipelago, Lomani Island Resort & Spa is your gateway to legendary surf adventures. Our prime location places you just 20 minutes from Fiji’s world-renowned surf breaks, many of which remain uncrowded year-round.
There’s a reason why professional surfers like Jamie O’ Brien and Sage Erickson frequently choose Lomani Island Resort & Spa as their Fijian base. With access to six iconic breaks, the wave of your life is never more than a short boat trip away. Explore the options for intermediate and advanced surfers below:
One of the world’s most renowned left-hand reef breaks, Cloudbreak offers powerful, hollow waves that break over a coral reef. Best surfed at mid to high tide with a solid southwest swell, this wave is suited for advanced to expert surfers.
Located off the back of Namotu Island, Desperations is a peak that offers both left and right-hand options, breaking over deep reef with more forgiving conditions. It’s suitable for intermediate surfers and up, and performs well with various swell directions and moderate winds.
A fun and mellow right-hand reef break, Swimming Pools gets its name from its clear, turquoise water and is perfect for smooth, carving rides. Ideal for intermediate surfers, it’s best during mid-tide and smaller southwest swells.
A perfectly shaped, fast left-hand reef break that runs down the edge of Tavarua Island, Restaurants is known for its long, barrelling waves when conditions line up. Best during mid to high tide with light winds, it’s ideal for advanced surfers due to its shallow reef.
A playful and consistent left-hand reef break, Namotu Left offers long rides with open faces, ideal for manoeuvres and occasionally barreling sections. Suitable for intermediate to advanced surfers, it works best on mid to high tides and southwest swells.
A powerful, bowling right-hander that breaks over reef, Wilkes Passage delivers long, fast rides with potential for barrels. Best suited for confident intermediate to advanced surfers, it works on mid-to-high tides and consistent southwest swells.
